This painting is based on a real landscape view from Stribugliano in Tuscany, overlooking the distant mountains and the sea.
Rather than presenting the landscape as a fixed image, the work reflects a state of perceptual transition — similar to what occurs during memory reprocessing in EMDR. In this process, previously rigid or emotionally charged experiences lose their fixed form and are reorganized into a more adaptive, integrated state.
The fragmented brushstrokes and layered color fields are intentional. They mirror the moment when perception is no longer stable, when the mind is actively reprocessing and loosening structures that no longer belong to the individual.
Within this shifting field, external impressions — including internalized or foreign patterns of thought and perception — begin to dissolve. What remains is a more direct, unfiltered experience of reality.
The painting is not meant to impose an image, but to open a space in which perception can reorganize itself. It invites a quiet release from what is no longer needed, allowing clarity and autonomy to emerge through the act of seeing.
