Return & Refund Policy

Original Artwork – Mary Ternovsky Art

Each artwork is an original, one-of-a-kind piece. Due to the nature of fine art, all sales are considered final, with limited exceptions outlined below.

1. General Policy

All artworks are carefully inspected and professionally packaged prior to shipment.

Returns are not accepted for reasons such as:

  • change of mind

  • subjective preferences (color, mood, energy, etc.)

  • mismatch with interior or expectations

2. EU Customers – Right of Withdrawal

If you are purchasing from within the European Union, you may have a legal right to request a return within 14 days of delivery.

However, due to the nature and value of original artwork, the following conditions strictly apply:

  • The buyer is fully responsible for return shipping costs

  • Shipment must be:

    • professionally packaged (equivalent to original packaging)

    • fully insured for the full value of the artwork

    • sent with a trackable carrier

  • The artwork must be returned in perfect, original condition

👉 Any damage, alteration, or improper packaging may result in:

  • partial refund

  • or refusal of refund

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

3. US & International Customers

For customers outside the European Union:

👉 All sales are final

Returns are not accepted, except in the case of verified shipping damage (see below).

4. Damaged Items (All Regions)

If your artwork arrives damaged:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide:

    • clear photos of the artwork

    • photos of packaging and damage

If damage is confirmed:

👉 A resolution will be offered, which may include:

  • partial refund

  • full refund

  • or replacement (if applicable)

⚠️ Claims submitted after 48 hours may not be accepted.

5. Return Authorization Required

Any return must be approved in advance.

Unapproved returns will not be accepted or refunded.

6. Important Notes

  • Artworks are fragile and require professional handling

  • Responsibility transfers to the buyer once the artwork is shipped, except in cases of verified transit damage

  • Customs duties, import taxes, and international fees are the responsibility of the buyer
